What is L.I.F.E. Fund and what’s it all about?
L.I.F.E Fund is the fundraising missions branch of Women’s Ministries. The Women’s Ministries department raises support for L.I.F.E. Fund through the help of women’s groups making a yearly pledge. These groups challenge their ladies to help raise this support.
First, it provides support to our missionaries; both those who are brand new to the field and those who are returning for another term.
Second, the Fund helps to provide for Scholarships for International Students. We are sponsoring female students, who are going to University in preparation for ministry.
Third, it also supports district projects, such as the project we are currently involved with; the renovation of the restrooms in the dining hall at Wheat State Camp.
Fourth, it supports the National Women’s Department in Springfield with extra expenses, such as helping to replace out-dated office equipment, supplies, etc.
And fifth, the last segment, but in my opinion, one of the MOST IMPORTANT, L.I.F.E. Fund provides support to Project Rescue and other ministries, which are ministries working feverishly to curtail and end the ruthless practice of Human Slave Trafficking.
Children as young as five years of age and young women are being sold to predators—most of the children and young women are used for prostitution and other sexual practices. This involves every continent around the world and every one of our 50 states in the U.S.A. Historically, this situation was confined more to Asian countries, but with the rise of Internet pornography, it has become a worldwide problem.
It is my intent to be more aggressive in educating our women’s groups about L.I.F.E. Fund, helping them to understand how crucial and urgent the need is to get assistance to those who so desperately need it.
