Each year there are scholarship opportunities available for your high school seniors. This free money can be an incredible blessing and is available if planning on attending an approved A/G endorsed university.

A Ralph Harris Speed the Light Scholarship Award is available for those ages 11-23 who have given sacrificially to STL. Applicants need to be nominated by their youth pastor or senior pastor. Application and instructions are available for download:

Students planning on attending North Central University, Trinity Bible College or Southwestern Assemblies of God University for the first time should contact Darin Stroud for a District Youth Director Scholarship at darin@agkansas.com.

The J. Robert Ashcroft Nat'l Youth Scholarship Program (NYSP) gives financial assistance to outstanding Assemblies of God youth to attend endorsed A/G colleges. The NYSP is open to high school seniors attending Assemblies of God churches. District level winners become nominees for the National Youth Scholarship. National winners are awarded scholarships to the endorsed Assemblies of God college or institute of their choice as follows: 1st place of $8,000, 2nd place of $4,000 and 3rd place of $2,000. It’s very simple. Please follow these instructions:

Fill out and send to the KYM offices @ 8301 E 21st St N STE 230, Wichita, KS 67206 by February 1, 2012.

3 District winners will be selected with awards being $500, $300, $150.

KYM will submit district winners to the National Youth Ministries Department for the selection of the J. Robert Ashcroft winner.
We are so proud of our Kansas students. We believe it is extremely important for them to attend on of our A/G colleges and universities to assist them in their life-long following of Jesus Christ.

For high school seniors planning to attend one of the 19 Assemblies of God endorsed colleges or universities, (to see list go to: www.colleges.ag.org) you may be eligible to apply for the General Superintendent's National Scholarship (GSNS) from the Riggs Scholarship Fund!
Here's a quick run of the GSNS: Two scholarships of up to $30,000 each (awarded over a 4-year period) will be awarded to one male and one female high school graduate who will be attending an AG college. Ten finalists will be selected. The eight who are not chosen for the GSNS will receive one-time $5,000 scholarships to be awarded over the first two semesters at the AG school.
Here's the eligibility:
- Student must demonstrate leadership potential through past and present involvement in an AG church, school, and community
- Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.7 or an ACT score of 28 or an SAT score of 1870
- For the Superintendent's award to continue, the student must maintain a 3.5 GPA and continue attendance and active enrollment in an AG church while enrolled in school
- Student must demonstrate a dedicated walk with God and a commitment to use his/her gifts toward Kingdom expansion
