Definition:
1. promotion of favorable image: the practice or profession of establishing, maintaining, or improving a favorable relationship between an institution or person and the public

2. public image: the relationship between an institution or person and the public, with respect to whether that institution or person is seen in a positive or negative light

3. department managing public relations: the department in an organization that is responsible for public relations

When it comes to public relations many churches fail to see its importance.  As you can see from the above definition public relations can help churches and their people with "establishing, maintaining, or improving a favorable relationship between an institution or person and the public."  This is exactly what churches and we as Christ followers need to be doing.
