Clear, thought provoking, culturally connected communication of Truth through Spirit empowered preaching and teaching is a core, non-negotiable function of a healthy Pentecostal church. Thankfully, the internet is loaded with great resources to aid in the task of declaring the Word. However, Pentecostal preachers and teachers will always discover the greatest resource for their task by waiting on the Lord in private prayer, reflection and meditation, contemplating the condition of God’s people, the context of a lost culture and the present activity of Christ.
This practice may not create high demand for our sermons in teaming arenas but it will combat scriptural illiteracy, and it will help produce disciples that can change their part of the world by the power of the Spirit.
