30/30/30 Initiative

The 30/30/30 Initiative is a strategy to help your people reach their friends and family who don't follow Christ. Church statistician George Barna says 80% of people invited to church by a friend or family member will attend at least once.  However, he also finds that the top reason people don't visit a church is that they haven't received an invitation.  Most non-Christians would come to church if invited, but most Christians struggle to invite their non-Christian friends.  30/30/30 not only inspires your people to give an invitation, but surrounds that invitation in the love and power of God!

The 30/30/30 Initiative entails:
30 days of prayer
30 more days of prayer and kindness
30 more days of prayer, kindness and invitation

Keys to success:
- Plan your local 30/30/30 Initiative to end with an event, Christmas or Easter for example, designed for your people to invite the ones on their 30/30/30 list.

- Print invitations, formal or informal, for your people to use.

- Encourage your people to pray not only for people they know, but also for an opportunity to invite someone they haven't yet met.

- Take some time
as a congregation during your second 30 days to share ideas on how to show kindness.
